Arrive at Futian / Lok Ma Chau Spur Line
Shenzhen Futian Port meets Hong Kong Lok Ma Chau East Rail — not the Huanggang road crossing. Hours about 06:30–22:30. Shenzhen: plaza and Shuiwei food within minutes. Hong Kong platform: almost nothing.

Shenzhen Metro lines 4 and 10 at Futian Port → Shenzhen immigration → footbridge → Hong Kong immigration → East Rail Lok Ma Chau. Separate checks. Do not follow signs to road Huanggang. Hours about 06:30–22:30, earlier than Lo Wu. Last East Rail is earlier still — check MTR Mobile before you cross.
Food and shops on both sides
- Shenzhen side: Futian Port Plaza is about 200 m from the gate — restaurants, hotels, small shops, far easier than Shenzhen Bay’s plaza. Shuiwei village has cha chaan tengs and late food. Metro lines 4 and 10 exit at the port. COCO Park / Convention Centre are a few stops inland. Not a mall glued to the hall like Liantang, but you can eat within minutes.
- Hong Kong Lok Ma Chau station has almost nothing. Do not plan dinner on the platform. After the border, Sheung Shui, Fanling and Tai Po are real towns.
- Same as Lo Wu: Octopus in the station; SIM in Sheung Shui.
Shops turn over. What follows is the shape of the port — a mall at the gate, or a big plaza — not a permanent menu.

Land ports rarely sell a fair data SIM. Turn on a Hong Kong eSIM before you travel; after crossing, buy in Sheung Shui, Yuen Long, Mong Kok or Sham Shui Po with your passport. Port convenience stores are emergency only.

Questions
Are Futian and Huanggang the same?
No. Futian is the walk-and-bridge to East Rail Lok Ma Chau. Huanggang is the road crossing (Huang Bus or coaches). Both say Lok Ma Chau on maps. First time: look for an East Rail platform.
