Man Kam To and Sha Tau Kok: most visitors skip these
Man Kam To is mainly goods plus limited passengers and coaches. Sha Tau Kok passenger service has been suspended during rebuilding — not a normal tourist crossing. First time: Lo Wu, Futian, Shenzhen Bay, Heung Yuen Wai, or HSR.

Hong Kong and Shenzhen also share Man Kam To and Sha Tau Kok. They are not designed for a first-timer with a suitcase.
Man Kam To
- Passenger hours about 07:00–22:00, confirm ImmD.
- Public transport is mostly coaches or taxis — not an East Rail platform after immigration.
- The Hong Kong side is a rural border. Do not expect food or a SIM.
Sha Tau Kok
- Passenger service has long been limited or paused for rebuilding. Chung Ying Street has its own rules. Do not treat old blog posts as a usable tourist crossing.
- For the north-east NT, ride local buses from Fanling or Sheung Shui. Do not try to shortcut through Sha Tau Kok.
Passenger hours follow ImmD on the day. Bad weather can close early. Road crossings often shut the approach about 30 minutes before closing.
